About the role
PeakCommerce gives developers a platform for building subscription commerce — storefronts, portals, payment pages, and agentic commerce surfaces — on top of billing systems like Stripe, Zuora, and Maxio. As a Developer Advocate, you'll help developers understand and adopt our APIs through documentation, examples, and content grounded in real integration work.
What you'll do
- Create technical content — guides, sample apps, and reference docs — that show developers how to build on our commerce and billing integrations.
- Build and maintain example projects that demonstrate real use cases like catalog sync, checkout, and self-service flows.
- Engage with the developer community in forums, issues, and events, and bring their feedback back to the product and engineering teams.
- Partner with product to improve the developer experience of our APIs and onboarding.
- Represent PeakCommerce at meetups, webinars, and conferences when relevant.
What we're looking for
- Hands-on engineering background — you can build a working integration and write the code samples yourself.
- Strong technical writing skills, with examples of docs, tutorials, or content you've produced.
- Comfort with web technologies (TypeScript/JavaScript) and working against REST APIs and webhooks.
- Genuine interest in helping other developers succeed, and the patience to explain complex topics clearly.
- Bonus: experience with payments, billing, or commerce APIs, or prior developer-advocacy work.
