Metronome is the usage metering and billing engine purpose-built for AI, infrastructure, and consumption-led products. PeakCommerce surfaces Metronome contracts, commits, and current spend inside checkout and the customer portal.

How it works

REST API

Metronome REST API with signed webhooks for contract and usage updates. Authentication is configured once from the PeakCommerce console — no middleware or custom infrastructure required. Events flow bidirectionally in near real time, with retries and a full audit trail surfaced in the operations console.

Built on the same security foundation

Every integration runs on PeakCommerce's SOC 2 Type II–certified infrastructure with encrypted-at-rest credentials, scoped access tokens, audit logging, and granular permissioning. Tokens are stored in our hardened secrets vault and never exposed to customer-facing surfaces.
